Meeting Rooms

Meeting rooms at MCh are eqipped with Teamboard Smartboards with VGA/USB cable connections. If operated in simple beamer mode, a wireless HDMI connection is available (not working for apple products). Please note: Other than the offices at MCh, meeting rooms are cooled.

Meeting Room [02_216]

This room is used for small meetings (max. 10 persons), e. g. for presentations in a small scale, discussions or oral examinations.

Conference Room [02_220]

This room is used for larger meetings, regular team meetings, practical courses and presentations. Room capacity estimates for various seating types are provided below:

Multi-functional Rooms

HiWi-Room / Atom Probe Analysis (APT) [02_213]

This room contains up to 4 working desks incl. PCs for student and thesis workers. Moreover, it contains 2 workstations dedicated to atom probe analysis, the reconstruction and visualization of 3D chemical composition.

Copy room [02_214]

This room contains all photocopiers, printers, fax machines and office consumables, which you will find in the cabinets. From left to right these contain:

Kitchen

The kitchen area is a public meeting area for all staff members and guests. Please note and remember some general rules:

  • The two cabinets on the upper left contain dishes to be used exclusively for guests!
  • The fridges may be used by everyone, but please keep track on what you store there so that is does not evolve and creep away.
  • No cooking in the kitchen. There is - on purpose! - no microwave oven or anything similar. You may bring, store, and eat any kind of food, of course.

Archive [02_215]

In the archive, confidential documents are stored, such as exam documents, staff data etc. The archive is permanently locked and may only be opened by secretary/accounting office.

A dedicated “confidential data” paper garbage bin is located there. All confidential materials, e.g. excess printouts for exams, need to be disposed of here!

MCH Server [02_217]

The server room contains our file servers as well as spare IT stuff. Please contact the system administrator in case you need access to the room. The server room is actively air conditioned.

Wall of Fame

The Wall of Fame is located on various walls on the 2nd floor near the kitchen. It consists of picture walls containing all former members of MCh according to the following scheme:

  • PhDs,
  • Post Docs,
  • Former Chairs,
  • Former staff members.
